Rep. Lauren Boebert says she finally got Ilhan Omar on the phone so she could express regret for her comments the other day. But the phone call quickly turned into demands for a public apology for past comments and then Omar hung up on her.
Boebert explains below:
Boebert said that her already public apology the other day wasn’t good enough for Omar, and Omar demanded another public apology. After Omar kept pressing for it, Boebert said that Omar should apologize to the American people for her anti-Semitism and anti-police rhetoric. This went back and forth a little and then Omar hung up on her.
