In a rare moment of journalism, NBC’s White House reporter Peter Alexander hammered Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki on why Biden didn’t give Trump any credit last night for the vaccines that are currently being distributed to all Americans:
Psaki on Biden not crediting Trump in COVID address: "Americans are looking for facts. They're looking for details. They're looking for specifics. I don't think they're worried too much about applause from six months ago when the president has already delivered that publicly." pic.twitter.com/zN34hI7D9y

Even in her answer, Psaki still refused to give President Trump any credit for this, which is appalling. She also claimed that Biden has already given Trump credit and Americans aren’t interested in hearing any of that now.
But that’s not really true. What Biden and Kamala have done is lied about President Trump, claiming that there wasn’t any plan to distribute the vaccines, which was patently false. Even Fauci came out and refuted it after CNN ran with the lie.
Biden and Kamala have done everything they can to tear down Trump’s legacy even though Biden claimed to want unity and bipartisanship in his campaign to be president. And that was evident last night, as Biden tried to subsume Trump’s work as his own by not giving Trump any credit for his work to get all of these vaccines to the American people.
I’ll give a rare kudos to Alexander for this interaction, who is normally a pretty horrible excuse for a reporter.
