The FBI briefing that CNN and MSNBC didn’t even mention ahead of time on Friday “fundamentally answered” one thing, said House minority leader Kevin McCarthy: Eric Swalwell “should not be on the intel committee.”
The briefing of House leaders, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was about Swalwell’s involvement with and attachments to a suspected spy for China. It’s telling that Pelosi didn’t claim the meeting absolved him.
But it’s pretty clear from this briefing that the scheme perpetrated by China was MAJOR and that Swalwell’s relationship to it should NOT be on the INTEL committee, of all things.
