Trump, who was going to nominate Herman Cain for the Federal Reserve Board, has just tweeted that Herman Cain is pulling his nomination:
My friend Herman Cain, a truly wonderful man, has asked me not to nominate him for a seat on the Federal Reserve Board. I will respect his wishes. Herman is a great American who truly loves our Country!

I’ve been seeing mixed reporting on this in the last couple of weeks.
After it was announced that Trump would nominate Cain, I read that Cain was considering pulling his own nomination after four senators came out against it.
But then last week Herman Cain himself said that he was NOT withdrawing himself for the nomination and had never even considered it.
That was only four days ago.
Fast forward to today and we now see Cain has pulled his nomination from consideration. Unless something happened in the last few days, it would seem the earlier reporting may have been correct. Or it’s also possible that the team vetting Cain found something they didn’t like and asked him to pull his nomination.
