WOW: Lib member of PRESS leaves DEATH threat for Rep who switched from (D) to (R). Oh and PUBLISHED threats as OPEDs!

On Sunday, Maria Bartiromo had Rep. Jeff Van Drew on air to talk about a death threat message left on his home phone over having switched parties because he did not want to vote for impeachment, and because he objected to certification of Biden’s win*. And what’s really bad? It’s from a member of the press, writing for the Ocean City Sentinel in New Jersey.

The call was bad enough.

“As a member of the New Jersey Press Association, I will do everything in my power to ensure that you are deposed, if not dead,” the voice on the recording says. That recording is a voicemail left at Rep. Van Drew’s home. His wife heard it first when checking the messages.

“Anything that I can do to basically get you out of office, I will do. You are a traitor, Jeff Van Drew, and you deserve the fate of all traitors,” the voice says.

Talking to Bartiromo about it, Rep. Van Drew said that he is accustomed to the idea of threats, given his position and his having switched parties, but that in this case rather than simply referring the issue to police and moving on, he decided to go public. And why?

Here’s why: “He was writing op-eds, editorials, stories for this newspaper, and in them, they contained all this violence and filth.”

Literally this maniac was writing, for pay, in print, the same kinds of threats to Rep. Van Drew.

AND AGAINST HIS FAMILY: “So in those official op-eds that went out in thousands and thousands of newspapers, he said that, literally, how would my wife feel if she was grabbed by her crotch, picked up and slammed down on the car, how would the tickle feel.”

“He that I was a traitor and traitors deserve to be executed. He said that my home should be stormed, how would I feel if my home was stormed and my family was violated. He actually said it in print and an editor and publisher allowed that and thought it was okay.”

“That’s unbelievable, is that the new norm,” said Rep. Van Drew. The interview carried on, with more revelations and a concern that we all share, deeply. Watch below:

It is almost unbelievable. But Scoop readers know it’s not ENTIRELY a surprise.
