It hasn’t happened yet and I pray it doesn’t. But it is still worrisome that the Trump administration wants to sale Turkey all of these advanced warplanes:
FREE BEACON – The Trump administration still appears set to deliver this month an advanced fleet of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters to Turkey amid ongoing threats by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to strike Israel and foment anti-Israel unrest among terrorist forces in the region, a move that is garnering criticism from lawmakers and regional experts.
The Trump administration, despite opposition from Congress, has approved a deal to deliver Turkey’s fighting forces 100 advanced F-35 war planes, sophisticated stealth aircraft capable of evading radars. Two pilots from Turkey’s Air Force have been trained in the United States to fly the jets, which are scheduled to be formally transferred to Turkey by September 2019 if Congress fails in its legislative efforts to block the deal, according to industry trade reports.
The decision to arm Turkey with these advanced planes has drawn concern from regional experts and lawmakers, who are urging the Trump administration to reconsider the sale following public efforts by Erdogan to unite the Islamic world against Israel in the wake of the Trump administration’s decision to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The Senate moved late last month to block the sale, setting up a showdown with the Trump administration over the fate of the deal. Turkey has already stated it will turn to Russia or other nations if the United States fails to make good on the deal.
Today Pompeo is meeting with the FM of Turkey here in the US, who just told a group of Erdogan loving Muslims today that Erdogan is the only hope for the Muslim world:
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Monday said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the only hope for Muslims, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
“I have met with American Muslim civil society representatives here. I have once again understood that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the only hope for the Ummah [Muslims],” Çavuşoğlu said at a gathering organized by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) at Turkey’s Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, Maryland, just outside of Washington.
“We are the strongest country insisting that the global order must change. We are responsible for the Ummah. Who will defend the al-Quds [Jerusalem] cause if we are silent? Some Muslim countries cannot speak out due to their fears.”
Claiming that snap presidential and parliamentary elections on June 24 are the most important ever held in Turkey, Çavuşoğlu said: “The June 24 elections will not only decide [the leader of Turkey in] 2023 [the centennial of the Republic of Turkey], but will also decide the country’s next two centuries.”
The next two centuries? Who will defend Jerusalem if we don’t? Wow.
Not only is he pushing Erdogan as Caliph, he’s using ominous language about the return of the Ottoman Empire and Jerusalem.

And that’s all just recently, within the last month.
Put that with what we know from the Holy Scriptures about the resurrection of the Ottoman Empire and the future invasion of Jerusalem, led by Turkey, and there’s no way I would be party to sending advanced warplanes to Turkey.
Let’s hope Trump and Mattis change their mind about this.
