I get emails nearly every day from Trump supporters who are upset with me about something I posted regarding Trump.
Sometimes it’s legitimate articles about people who have been close to Trump abandoning him now, which is very newsworthy.
But most of the time it’s stuff I’ve posted directly from Trump. And that’s the point. Most of the ‘negative’ stuff I post is from Trump’s own mouth. Whether he’s making a video like yesterday, or whether he’s posting on Truth Social. And almost always it is him attacking DeSantis for something crazy.
Here’s the deal. I’m a little upset with Trump over the way he’s unjustly attacked America’s favorite governor. And it all started after DeSantis led Florida Republicans to an epic victory in the midterms.
Trump has made clear that he’s pissed at DeSantis because he may run against him in the 2024 primary. He’s angry because DeSantis won’t bow down, kiss his ring, and vow not to run against him.
This is from Trump’s own words right after the midterms:
And now, Ron DeSanctimonious is playing games! The Fake News asks him if he’s going to run if President Trump runs, and he says, “I’m only focused on the Governor’s race, I’m not looking into the future.” Well, in terms of loyalty and class, that’s really not the right answer.
Loyalty and class are the key words.
So what does Trump do after this? He starts posting crap about DeSantis from his social media platform, even suggesting he’s a pedophile:
Trump has also resurrected the nasty Democrat attack against Republicans and aimed it at DeSantis, accusing him of wanting to push granny over the cliff because he’s dared discuss reforming Medicare in the past:
And now Trump is actually praising the despicable Charlie Crist in order to bash DeSantis:

I hate this crap. I hated when Trump tried to destroy Ben Carson with nasty attacks like this in 2016 and I hate it now.
I would rather see Trump stand on his own two feet and boast all the incredible things he did as president. That would be amazing. But instead, a very petty Trump likes to go into the gutter to destroy his opponents, even ones he’s endorsed and voted for like Governor DeSantis.
DeSantis hasn’t said or done anything to warrant these attacks.
When Trump unfairly and unjustly goes low like this, he loses people like me with his despicable attacks. I’m sorry, but I just don’t like it.
Here’s the bottom line. If DeSantis runs for president I’m going to be decidedly in his corner. He’s been a fantastic conservative governor and I belive he’d make a fantastic conservative president.
But if he loses the primary to Trump, then I’ll gladly be in Trump’s corner the rest of the way.
Apart from these juvenile attacks over the last few months, I have nothing against Trump that would keep me from supporting him if he wins the primary. I’ve supported him as president and would support him again. I don’t much care for his juvenile personality flaws that he’s put on display recently, but he did a lot of great things as president and I think he’d do an even better job than before.
